Sahelion Ki Bari is a garden which used to be the visiting place of the forty eight maids belonging to the prince of Udaipur. The picturesque view of the garden Sahelion Ki Bari will nourish the tourists with the wonderful natural view of the setting sun. The golden rays of the sun create a breathtaking contrast of the bright garden in the shadow of the evening.
Sahelion Ki Bari was built by Maharana Sangram Singh II of Udaipur in the early part of the eighteenth century. The four cenotaphs of black marbles encircling a reservoir inside the garden contain the bird shaped fountains. The water of the fountains comes out from the beaks of the birds which offer a splendid sight to the viewers. At the center of the reservoir there is a cenotaph made of white marble which enhanced the beauty of the site through the contrasting color of the cenotaph with the other cenotaphs of black color.
Beside the garden there is the palace of Maharana Fateh Singh. The beauty of the garden is enhanced by a water pool which is oval shaped and some nice fountains. He water pool has four elephants of marble from whose tusks water comes out. The walls of the palace are embellished with various types of trees of fruits accompanied with flowerbeds of rose. All these natural and man made decoration of the palace give birth to a serene atmosphere which is sure to meet the tranquil necessity of a traveler.
